// Overview

What this is

Copax-FMS is a comprehensive fleet management system designed to optimize vehicle operations, enhance driver safety, and reduce operational costs. The platform provides real-time tracking, maintenance scheduling, and detailed analytics for fleet managers.

Implemented and managed an advanced fleet management system, 'Copax-FMS', while working at Scandinavia Tech. The system provides comprehensive vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, and driver management capabilities.

Built robust backend systems using NestJS, Mongoose, and MongoDB, implementing a monorepo architecture and RabbitMQ for seamless inter-service communication. Developed real-time data updates, enhancing fleet management efficiency by 30%.

Integrated vehicle devices for real-time data transmission and designed scalable data storage solutions using MinIO, reducing operational latency. The system includes features for route optimization, fuel consumption tracking, and maintenance alerts.

Challenges and solutions

The challenges

  1. C01Processing large volumes of real-time data from multiple vehicle tracking devices
  2. C02Ensuring system reliability for critical operations with minimal downtime
  3. C03Integrating with various vehicle tracking devices and protocols

How I solved them

  1. S01Implemented data streaming architecture with RabbitMQ for efficient real-time data processing
  2. S02Designed redundant systems with failover capabilities to ensure 99.9% uptime
  3. S03Created a device integration layer with standardized protocols for seamless device connectivity

// Scope

What it does

  • Real-time vehicle tracking and monitoring
  • Maintenance scheduling and automated alerts
  • Fuel consumption analysis and optimization
  • Mobile applications for customers and support employees

// Role

What I built

  • Designed and implemented the backend architecture using NestJS and MongoDB
  • Developed the real-time data processing pipeline using RabbitMQ
  • Created RESTful APIs for frontend and mobile application integration
  • Containerized the system with Docker and set up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
